Self-service
What do you need?
You must be a registered borrower.
Your library card number is the same as your CPR-number (personal ID-number) without the hyphen.
If you have been issued a special library card, you will find your card number on it.
You also need a pin code. You can register a pin code by contacting the customer service counter bringing along your library card/medical card.
What About Security?
For encrypted transfer of your CPR-number and pin code over the Internet Vejle Public Libraries uses the TDC's server certificate SSL.
If you do not feel comfortable using your CPR-number when ordering online, you can have a library card issued by contacting the customer service counter.
Ordering/Reserving Materials
Find the material you need in the library's online catalogue.
When you click on the title, you will get a “description” of the material. You can also see how many copies we have, if they are out, and when you can expect the them to be returned.
Click on: “Reserve”.
You must "log on" by writing your CPR-number and your pin code. The screen text will guide you.
Remember to log off when you are done!
If you have ordered materials we can find on the shelf, you can usually collect them the same day. You will receive an e-mail, sms or a postcard when we have found the material for you.
If you have ordered materials that have been borrowed by someone else, we will notify you by postcard or by SMS or e-mail when the material has been returned and is ready to be picked up.
You can have the materials brought to you by the bookmobile, if you change the collection point when you order.
You can receive your reservation notificaitons and overdue reminders via e-mail if you register your e-mail address in the online catalogue under "My data".
Borrower Status
You can get an overview of what you have borrowed or ordered/reserved by going to the page Borrower Status.
Here you can also see when you hav to return your materials. You can often renew your loans if the material has not been reserved by someone else.
You can also see if you have any unpaid overdue fees.

You can often renew your loans.
Go to the page Borrower status.
Check off the little box by the materials you want to renew and click on the button “Renew selection”. You can also choose the button “Renew all”.
REMEMBER to check if the loans have actually been renewed. Some loans cannot be renewed. This applies to materials such as movies, or if a material has been reserved by another borrower.
You can only renew your loans twice.
If it is not possible to renew the loan, a message will appear in red lettering below the title of the material.
Deleting a Reservation
Go to the page Borrower status.
Your reservations are listed at the bottom of the screen. Mark the reservation you want to cancel by checking off the little square on the right. Then click the button “Delete selection”.
